Job Description:
Assisting chefs in the preparation of meals, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
Learning and applying food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Assisting in food presentation and garnishing dishes before they are served.
Learning to prepare basic dishes under the supervision of experienced chefs.
Helping with the cleaning of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
Storing food and ingredients properly to maintain freshness and comply with health regulations.
Assisting with inventory control, including checking deliveries for quality and quantity.
Observing and learning from kitchen staff to improve culinary skills and gain professional experience.
Rotating through various kitchen stations to gain exposure to different aspects of the culinary operation.
