Job Description

General

·       Handles all telephone calls courteously and efficiently.

·       Knows the food menu/special promotions including preparation times, cooking methods, main ingredient and side dishes.

·       Knows the complete beverage selection including wines, cocktails and daily specials/selling objectives as mentioned in the service briefing.

·       Implements opening and closing duties in accordance with standards.

·       Handles guest complaints in accordance with service recovery guidelines.

·       Liaises with kitchen and bar with regards to special requests.

 

Outlet Service

·       Sets up outlet and service stations on time before service and according to standards.

·       Keeps service stations clean and complete.

·       Provides service in accordance with service standards.

·       Knows table/seat numbering, takes orders and uses Micros system to input orders.

·       Ensures food & beverage is served at the appropriate time.

·       Thanks every guest when they depart.

·       Assists guests with menu recommendations and up-sells to increase the average check.

·       Checks satisfaction of guests in assigned station.

·       Ensures tables are always re-set in accordance with table top specifications.

·       Is observant and pro-active in maintaining the table clean and glasses replenished. 

 

Cashiering

·       Ensures charge-to-room checks are signed and the name matches with the room number.

·       Ensures the validity of all credit cards.

·       Informs the Team Leader for processing of all cash payments.

·       Processes all Officer’s Check, Entertainment Check and City Ledger charges in accordance with established policies & procedures.

 

In Room Dining

·       Sets up In-room Dining area on time before service and according to standards.

·       Keeps In-room Dining area clean and complete. 

·       Takes In-room Dining orders, assists guests with recommendations and up-sells to increase the average check.

·       Inputs and settles order in the Micros system.

·       Consistently updates the In-room Dining board to track trays and trolleys for collection.

·       Provides service in accordance with service standards. 

·       Delivers, sets up and refreshes amenities according to schedule.

 

 

·       Regular checks floors for In-room Dining equipment and when on shift, ensures no tray or trolleys are on left in corridors after 6:00 am.
