Job Description

The Business Development Manager – Corporate is responsible for achieving revenue targets within the Corporate segment, including government-related bookings. The role develops and implements commercially effective sales strategies to promote the Centre’s facilities and services, maximise venue yield, and strengthen the Centre’s presence within the corporate events market. The position maintains strong client relationships, drives business growth, and supports organisational standards in governance, compliance, and operational excellence

1.     Business Development & Revenue Delivery

·       Develops and executes sales plans for the corporate segment.

·       Identifies new business opportunities and monitors conversion potential.

·       Maintains accurate client databases and prepares regular sales and market reports.

·       Supports initiatives that optimise revenue performance and venue utilisation.

2.     Client Relationship Management

·       Builds and sustains long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and retention.

·       Provides timely, customised responses and solutions to client requests.

·       Engages with industry networks to secure new event opportunities.

·       Ensures high service standards throughout the client engagement lifecycle.

3.     Planning & Implementation

·       Prepares and implements business development plans aligned to revenue goals.

·       Coordinates with the Client Relationship team to develop proposals and contracts.

·       Manages event bookings, payments, and contractual requirements accurately.

·       Supports operational planning to ensure delivery feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

4.     Monitoring, Measuring & Compliance

·       Tracks competitor activities, market trends, and emerging business opportunities.

·       Monitors safety, health, and compliance indicators relevant to business development.

·       Maintains accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts.

·       Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and organisational governance frameworks.

5.     Reporting & Continuous Improvement

·       Contributes to departmental statistics, planning, and policy improvements.

·       Escalates operational, client, or service-related issues to senior management.

·       Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance organisational performance.

·       Ensures compliance with ethical conduct, ABMS requirements, and anti-bribery standards.
