Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the General Ledger (GL), ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other month-end adjustments.
- Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and General Ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Ensure accurate accounting for fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inter-company transactions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
- Liaise with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure proper financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Assist in tax-related matters, including SST and corporate tax schedules where applicable.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Financial Controller or Management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, Professional Qualification, or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of General Ledger or financial accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.
- Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and accounting software is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates pursuing or holding professional accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) will have an added advantage.
