Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve room, meetings, events, and corporate revenue targets.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities from corporate, government, travel agents, wholesalers, and other market segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations, and hotel site inspections.
  • Prepare sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and follow up on business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth execution of client requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports, business forecasts, and account development plans.
  • Achieve individual and departmental sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Sales or Management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing corporate accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of the corporate, MICE, travel trade, and leisure market segments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with strong business acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of hotel PMS, CRM, or sales management systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional languages are an added advantage.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation is preferred.
