Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs through performance reviews, departmental requests, and organizational objectives.
  • Develop and implement the annual training calendar and learning initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programmes, workshops, seminars, and certification courses.
  • Organize orientation and onboarding programmes for new employees.
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, manuals, and learning resources.
  • Conduct selected in-house training sessions where appropriate.
  • Monitor employee participation and training effectiveness.

Training Administration

  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance, certificates, and employee learning history.
  • Update training information in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Prepare monthly and annual training reports for management.
  • Monitor departmental training hours and compliance with company requirements.
  • Manage training schedules, venues, logistics, and equipment.

HRD Corp & Compliance

  • Coordinate and administer all matters related to HRD Corp grants and claims.
  • Ensure training programmes comply with HRD Corp guidelines and company policies.
  • Prepare and submit the necessary documentation for grant applications and reimbursement claims.
  • Liaise with training providers, consultants, and government agencies.

Performance & Talent Development

  • Support the performance appraisal process by identifying development needs.
  • Assist in succession planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Coordinate leadership development and career progression programmes.
  • Monitor individual development plans (IDPs) and training completion.

Employee Engagement

  • Organize employee engagement programmes that promote continuous learning.
  • Coordinate wellness, team-building, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lifelong learning.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Assist in preparing and monitoring the annual training budget.
  • Source and evaluate external training providers.
  • Negotiate training quotations and coordinate vendor arrangements.
  • Ensure training activities are delivered within budget.

Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual training reports.
  • Analyse training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance indicators.
  • Recommend improvements to learning and development programmes.

HR Support

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and other HR initiatives when required.
  • Assist in maintaining HR policies and procedures related to learning and development.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
