As a Food & Beverage Service Crew Leader, you will oversee the daily operations of function rooms, bars, lounges, restaurants, pool areas, and in-room dining services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and the highest standards of service delivery. You will lead and support the service team while maintaining operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of assigned Food & Beverage outlets to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve service excellence standards.
- Ensure outlets are properly set up and prepared for service, including maintaining adequate stock levels, equipment readiness, and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor service quality and provide guidance to team members during service periods.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, feedback, and concerns, ensuring effective service recovery and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the taking and delivery of food and beverage orders, table service, and clearing procedures in accordance with established service standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, explain menu offerings, promotions, and specialty items, while encouraging product knowledge among team members.
- Drive revenue through effective upselling and suggestive selling techniques, while coaching team members to maximize sales opportunities.
- Prepare, review, and verify guest checks and ensure accurate payment processing and cash handling procedures.
- Manage reservations, telephone inquiries, and guest requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate operational updates, service priorities, and promotional activities to the team.
- Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, training, onboarding, and performance development.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, sanitation practices, and company policies at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
- Support management in achieving departmental goals, service targets, and guest satisfaction objectives.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and productive working environment for all team members.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Hotel Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of Food & Beverage service experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
- Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to handle guest complaints and service recovery situations effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and operational best practices.
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform operational duties as required.
