Spa Therapist

Job Summary

The Male Therapist is responsible for delivering a wide range of professional massage and body treatments to guests in accordance with the resort’s established standards. This role focuses on providing a high-quality wellness experience by ensuring guests’ comfort, relaxation, and satisfaction at all times. The therapist is expected to demonstrate excellent technical skills, maintain strict hygiene standards, and uphold exceptional customer service.

In addition, the Male Therapist plays an important role in promoting spa services, maintaining treatment rooms, and contributing to the overall guest experience aligned with the resort’s brand and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Treatment & Service Delivery

• Perform various types of massage therapies including:
• Deliver body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and other wellness therapies
• Customize treatments based on guest needs, preferences, and health conditions
• Ensure correct techniques, pressure levels, and safety practices are applied

2. Guest Experience & Consultation

• Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Conduct pre-treatment consultation to understand guest requirements and medical conditions
• Provide clear explanations of treatments and benefits
• Ensure guest comfort, privacy, and satisfaction throughout the session
• Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally

3. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms, equipment, and tools
• Follow all spa hygiene, health, and safety regulations
• Ensure proper handling of oils, products, and equipment
• Comply with SOPs and industry standards at all times

4. Spa Operations Support

• Prepare treatment rooms before each session (setup, towels, oils, ambiance)
• Ensure all equipment is in good working condition
• Monitor stock levels of spa products and report shortages
• Assist in daily spa operations when required

5. Sales & Promotion

• Promote spa services, packages, and retail products to guests
• Recommend suitable treatments and upsell services when appropriate
• Support marketing initiatives and promotions

Requirements

• Male candidate (based on operational and guest preference requirements)
• Minimum 1–2 years experience as Spa Therapist / Massage Therapist (hotel or wellness centre preferred)
• Certified in massage therapy or relevant professional qualification
• Knowledge of various massage techniques and body treatments
• Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages is an advantage)
• Physically fit and able to perform treatments for extended periods
