Job Description

The Mixologist is responsible for creating innovative and high-quality beverages, enhancing the overall bar experience, and supporting revenue growth through creative drink offerings. This role combines advanced bartending skills with creativity, product knowledge, and guest engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Beverage Creation & Innovation

  • Design and develop signature cocktails and seasonal drink menus.
  • Experiment with new ingredients, flavors, and presentation styles.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.

2. Bar Operations Support

  • Prepare and serve beverages to guests with high standards.
  • Support daily bar operations alongside bartenders.
  • Ensure bar setup, cleanliness, and readiness at all times.

3. Guest Experience

  • Engage with guests, recommend beverages, and provide personalized service.
  • Enhance guest experience through storytelling and drink knowledge.
  • Handle guest feedback and preferences professionally.

4. Training & Development

  • Train and mentor bartenders on cocktail preparation and techniques.
  • Share knowledge on ingredients, trends, and mixology skills.
  • Maintain consistency across the team.

5. Cost Control & Inventory

  • Monitor beverage cost and minimize wastage.
  • Assist in inventory management and stock control.
  • Work with suppliers on sourcing quality ingredients.

6. Compliance & Hygiene

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.

7. Trend & Market Awareness

  • Stay updated with industry trends and innovations.
  • Introduce new concepts to keep the bar competitive and relevant.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of bartending experience, with strong mixology skills.
  • Proven experience in cocktail creation and menu development.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and beverage trends.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
