Procurement & Purchasing
Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with halal requirements where applicable.
Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
Conduct market research to identify pricing trends, halal-certified supplier options, and new sourcing opportunities.
Supplier Management
Maintain professional relationships with existing suppliers, including halal-certified vendors.
Evaluate supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance with halal standards.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best value.
Inventory & Documentation
Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documentation, halal certifications, and price lists.
To ensure proper handling and storage of halal materials.
Budgeting & Compliance
Assist in developing procurement budgets and cost-saving strategies.
Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, industry standards, and halal certification requirements when relevant.
Identify and report potential risks within the supply chain, including halal compliance issues.
Cross-Department Coordination
Work closely with finance to verify invoices and resolve discrepancies.
Coordinate with operations and other departments to understand purchasing needs, including halal-specific requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement systems and halal compliance processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role.
Experience in halal purchasing, halal certification processes, or working with halal-compliant suppliers is an advantage.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
