Job Summary
The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the service team to ensure smooth operations, excellent customer service, and adherence to the restaurant’s standards. This role acts as a key link between guests, service staff, and management, ensuring that every dining experience is seamless and memorable.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations and ensure service standards are met.
- Assign duties and monitor performance of wait staff, bartenders, and runners.
- Greet, interact, and build rapport with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints or requests promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate table settings, seating arrangements, and reservations.
- Assist in training, coaching, and motivating the service team.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and grooming standards.
- Monitor inventory of service equipment and report shortages or damages.
- Support in opening and closing duties of the restaurant.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar team to ensure smooth service flow.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in F&B service, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations and service standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Guest-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
