Restaurant - F&B Service Captain

About the role

We are seeking a service-oriented and responsible F&B Service Captain to join our Restaurant team. The successful candidate will assist in supervising daily restaurant operations, guide service team members, and ensure excellent guest satisfaction while maintaining the hotel's service and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

• Lead, guide, and support service team members in delivering excellent guest experiences.

• Welcome guests, take orders, and ensure food and beverages are served accurately and promptly.

• Monitor table arrangements, restaurant cleanliness, and overall presentation.

• Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.

• Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Assist with staff briefing, training, duty allocation, and service quality monitoring.

• Ensure compliance with hotel operating procedures, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.

• Assist in monitoring restaurant supplies and minimising wastage.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B management team.

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent; a Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field is an advantage.

• Previous experience in Food & Beverage service is preferred.

• Candidates with leadership or supervisory experience will have an added advantage.

• Fresh graduates with a positive attitude and strong potential may also be considered for junior-level opportunities.

• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Able to lead and support the service team to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and service standards.

• Well-groomed, responsible, and guest-oriented.

• Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Knowledge of Mandarin or other languages is an advantage.
