Lifeguard

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of guests using the hotel's swimming pool and surrounding recreational facilities.
• Continuously monitor pool activities and enforce pool safety rules and regulations.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, accidents, and rescue situations.
• Administer first aid and CPR when required and coordinate with emergency services if necessary.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure the swimming pool, deck, and surrounding areas are clean, safe, and free from hazards.
• Monitor pool water conditions and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Engineering Department.
• Maintain lifeguard equipment, first aid kits, rescue devices, and emergency equipment in good working condition.
• Provide courteous assistance and information to guests regarding pool facilities and safety guidelines.
• Prepare incident and accident reports whenever necessary.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Possess a valid Lifeguard Certification issued by a recognised training or certification body.
• Valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Lifeguard is preferred. Fresh certified candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Physically fit with strong swimming and water rescue skills.
• Calm, alert, and able to respond effectively during emergency situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service-oriented with a professional and friendly attitude.
• Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
