We are looking for a dependable and multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Department. If you have experience in building maintenance and are capable of carrying out a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, we welcome you to be part of our team.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel's building, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Perform general maintenance works including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and minor repair works.
- Inspect hotel facilities regularly and rectify defects in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and respond promptly to repair requests from various departments.
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, furniture, ceilings, walls, flooring, windows, and fixtures.
- Carry out painting, touch-up works, plastering, patching, and finishing to maintain the hotel's appearance.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of hotel equipment and facilities.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and report major repair requirements to the Engineering Supervisor.
- Support emergency maintenance work and be available for after-hours call-outs when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Engineering Manager or Management.
Job Requirements
- Minimum SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hotel, commercial building, or property maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and general building maintenance.
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of building services and maintenance equipment.
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work.
- Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work on shifts, weekends, public holidays, and attend emergency maintenance duties when required.
- Possession of relevant technical certifications or electrical competency certificates will be an added advantage.
