As the Security Supervisor, you will perform and execute hotel security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and the property as well as the property’s assets.
Your day-to-day:
People
To oversee all daily duty locations and responsibilities of security guards
Coordinate and organize the day-to-day operations of the department including planning and controlling
Manage the develop and implementation of departmental standards
Ensure all patrolling, inspection and escort duties are performed to a high standard
Monitor and maintain all product and performance standards and ensure action is taken when standards are not met
Ensure firearms and other weapons are not carried by staff when on duty
Supervise emergency drills
Oversee the security department including layout of security guards and their detailed and regular training
Maintain the loyalty and discipline of all security guards
Ensure all security guards as well as hotel’s staff are adhering to P&P and security procedures
Coordinate with the local investigator in crimes & accident handling and investigating
Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements. Update the records/incidents in Riskonnect as per IHG Risk Management standards
Guest Experience
Interact with guests and individuals outside the hotel, including, but not limited to, current and potential clients, owning company representatives, community leaders, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers, competitors and other members of the local community
Ensure highest level of guest satisfaction by providing quality guest services
Organise patrolling of all boundary areas, bedrooms, offices, storage areas, public areas and function rooms
Assist in preparing incident reports and ensure all allegations are properly followed up
Responsible for management of key control within all departments
Rendering First-Aid to guests and employees as required by internal guidelines
Ensure all incidents are documented as required by internal guidelines
Financial
Help to monitor Department Budget
Compile and distribute security reports to relevant departments
Responsible Business
Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with owners’ policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
Assist for carrying out the required drill sessions and First Aid trainings as established by the local authorities
Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
Accountability
Supervise outsourced security guards in multiple shift operations
What we need from you?
Certificate with minimum 2 years’ experience in supervisory role within a 5 Star Hotel sector
Must speak English and Bahasa Malaysia
