Oversees the daily tasks of the sales / events coordinators to ensure the smooth flow of all events arrangements.

Job description

  • Check and ensure accuracy of directory posting on events board and function room signage
  • Meet and greet organisers before and during events.
  • Check and ensure accuracy of backdrop arranged in the function venue.
  • Check and ensure that the menu served for all meals is as per the guests requirements for all events.
  • Attend to enquiries from walk–ins, telephone calls and e-mail from potential customers.
  • Secure leads on potential business and maximise the total revenue for the hotel.
  • Assist the Sales / Events Coordinator on their individual succession plan.
  • To make 6 – 8 tele-calls / sales calls per day to potential clients with the objective of securing more business for the hotel.
  • To target 5 potential telemarketing calls per day on new accounts in – order to expand the current database on all revenue generated segments.
  • To establish and update Contact Report / Database on all companies with the potential for business and to be forwarded to the Director of Sales and Marketing on the companies feedback and discussion on future action plans.
  • To monitor closely on the production of each and every account based on the Individual Geographical area.
  • Assist to promote all Food and Beverage outlets in the hotel.
  • Chair the “Coordination Briefing” for events for the next three days. Brief on the profile of each company and run through the specific details on customer’s requirements.
  • Issue Group Resume for Group Convention and Group Others and high profile groups at least 7 days prior to the group arrival.
  • Attend sales briefing at 4.30pm on daily basis.
  • Meet and Greet VIP’s / Potential Customers upon check – in and scheduled Lobby Duty (if required) specially based on Volume Corporate, Long Stay, Government and Group Convention.
  • Follow – up with past function files for potential avenues on future functions.
