ACTIVITIES RECEPTIONIST (SPORTS AND RECREATION)

Job Description

  • Provide high-quality service to all members and guests using the swimming pool facilities.
  • Have good knowledge of recreation activities and basic program planning.
  • Understand safety standards and procedures related to the Recreation Department and overall safety.
  • Clean the swimming pool daily, including tiles, surrounding areas, loungers, and poolside tables.
  • Ensure the swimming pool area is always supervised and never left unattended.
  • Check chlorine levels regularly, add chemicals when needed, and record the daily water temperature.
  • Collect and replace towels as needed.
  • Ensure all used towels are collected, placed in the basket, and cleared throughout the day.
  • Set up umbrellas every morning and place clean towels at the pool counter for guest use.
  • Lower umbrellas during rain if not in use. After the rain, clean and dry the seats and loungers, and place the mattresses back for use.
  • Report any damages or maintenance issues to the Manager and coordinate with the Engineering team.
  • Properly hand over duties and important information to the next shift.
  • Perform general cleaning duties in areas such as the storage room, I-Hub, Movie & Lego room, and pool surroundings.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Be willing to work on weekends and irregular hours when required.
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, departments, and guests.
  • Be able to stand or sit for long periods when required.
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Advise swimmers on unsafe behaviour and warn them of any hazards.
  • Follow the standards and expectations of Thistle Hotels & Resorts, including communication, teamwork, reliability, safety, and work performance.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, manuals, and instructions related to the job.
  • Report to work on time as scheduled.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager.
