Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and company assets. This includes monitoring premises, enforcing company policies, and responding to security incidents in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unsafe conditions.

  • Control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.

  • Verify identification and issue visitor passes.

  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.

  • Prepare detailed incident and daily activity reports.

  • Conduct routine inspections of security systems and safety equipment.

  • Assist in emergency response procedures, including evacuation and first aid if required.

  • Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.

  • Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role (preferred).

  • Good communication and observation skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.

  • Physically fit and able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

  • No criminal record.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of security systems (CCTV, alarm systems).

  • First Aid and CPR certification (advantage).

  • Strong integrity and sense of responsibility.
