Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. This role includes supervising housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring compliance with resort policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff to ensure efficiency and quality service.

  • Assign daily cleaning duties and special projects to room attendants and public area cleaners.

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and facilities to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation meet resort standards.

  • Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Maintain inventory and order housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment as required.

  • Monitor and control usage of cleaning materials to prevent wastage and manage costs effectively.

  • Coordinate with the Front Office and Maintenance departments regarding room status, repairs, and special requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations at all times.

  • Assist in the recruitment, scheduling, and performance evaluation of housekeeping staff.

  • Support the Executive Housekeeper in planning, budgeting, and departmental administration.
