1.0 Job Summary
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes are clean and properly stored. The role also involves waste management and assisting in kitchen operations as needed.
2.0 Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and surfaces.
Ensure all work areas, including floors, are clean and free from debris.
Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and other cooking implements.
Operate and maintain dish washing machines.
Waste Management:
Collect and dispose of kitchen waste appropriately.
Separate recyclables and non-recyclables according to company policies.
