Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to standard recipes and instructions provided by senior chefs
  • Ensure all ingredients are prepared, measured, and ready for service (mise en place)
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures at all times
  • Support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Cook and present dishes according to established standards and guidelines
  • Ensure proper portion control and minimize food wastage
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients
  • Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of any shortages
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the supervisor
  • Work efficiently during service to ensure timely preparation of dishes
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Maintain personal cleanliness and professional appearance at all times
  • Assist in cleaning duties, including washing, peeling, cutting, and preparing ingredients
  • Participate in daily briefings and training sessions as required
  • Adapt to different kitchen sections as assigned
  • Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and contribute to teamwork
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed before the end of the shift
