Job Description

Team Supervision

a. Managing and supervising the housekeeping team, including room attendants and public area cleaners.

b. Coordinate daily cleaning schedules and assign tasks to housekeeping staff, ensuring all areas are covered.

c. Provide on-the-job training and support to new staff members.

 

Daily Operations

a. Monitor and inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure they meet the hotel’s cleanliness and maintenance standards.

b. Address any issues or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and effectively.

c. Ensure that housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions to the maintenance team.
 

Inventory and Supplies Management

a. Managing the inventory of linens, guest supplies, and cleaning materials, ensuring adequate stock levels.

b. Order housekeeping supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality.
 

Guest Relations

a. Respond to guest requests and complaints regarding housekeeping services in a timely and courteous manner.

b. Ensure that special requests from guests, such as additional amenities or room preferences, are fulfilled.
 

Health and Safety Compliance

a. Ensure that all housekeeping staff follow health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

b. Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards to the Executive Housekeeper.

 

Reporting and Administration

a. Preparing reports on departmental performance, including occupancy rates, guest satisfaction scores, and budget adherence.

b. Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, such as room inspections, maintenance requests, and staff schedules.
