Operational Responsibilities
- To carry out repairs to exiting furniture, doors, and windows
- To repair door locks
- To carry out repairs to upholstery of hotel furniture
- To perform minor repairs on floor and wall carpets
- To replace electrical light bulbs and fluorescent tubes according to schedule or if required
- To inspect, clean, maintain, and repair all electrical lighting fixtures, floodlighting, spotlighting, and emergency lighting installations
- To maintain emergency power supply and uninterruptible power supply systems
- To service electrical motors and controls
- To carry out preventive maintenance tasks on all electrical equipment
- To be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times
- To keep all air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment in good state of maintenance and repair
- To check frequently all major air handling units for correct function and performance, cleanliness of filters, drive belt tension, and lubrication of bearings
- To perform regular preventive maintenance of all fan coil units and refrigeration equipment in accordance with the schedule
- To check daily temperatures of all refrigerated stores and inspect the respective condensing units for proper function
- To carry out minor repairs to air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment when necessary.
- To observe cleanliness at the place of work and on the job after completion of work
- To ensure cleanliness of appearance and uniform, particularly when working in guest areas
- Ensure that all employees report for duty punctually, dressed and groomed to the Hotel's standards and wearing a name badge at all times
- To perform other duties outside the normal routine, if so required, within the scope of the department

- To assume full charge of building furniture repairing maintenance in guestroom and public area rehabilitation
General:
- To ensure that life safety standards throughout the entire hotel are, at all times, commensurate with hotel’s Standards, thus fully safeguarding guests and employees against loss of life or property as well as injury
Personnel and Training Responsibilities
- To demonstrate good leadership skills and motivation of his subordinates
- To show good abilities in human resources management of his subordinates
- To ensure punctual attendance at work of all associates
- To ensure cleanliness of uniform and general appearance of his subordinates, and make sure name badges are worn at all times
- To assist with the creation of and efficient and professional team of engineering
- To assist with the departmental training program, ensuring that all associates have a complete understanding of the Hotel's policies relating to Fire Safety, Health, and Hygiene, and that these policies are strictly adhered to
