Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produces, articulates and implements competitive sales and marketing strategies and tactics successfully in conjunction with revenue management, marketing communications and the sales team.
  • Directs the coordination of ongoing assessment of the travel industry to identify market trends and uncertainties, and related information for development of strategies for the competitive hotel environment.
  • Responsible for leading and driving top line revenue for traditional sales segments to include group, volume transient & catering.
  • Develops and implements a marketing communications plan designed to achieve the desired positioning of the hotel, as well as manage the sales & marketing budget that supports all initiatives.
  • Ensures seamless events from acquisition to delivery through the synergy between the Sales & Marketing and operations team.
  • Motivates and supports the team effectively in the drive to solicit business opportunities.
  • Plans, organises, directs and assigns day-to-day activities of the department in driving the hotels’ sales and marketing strategies and goals.

Requirements

  • Tertiary education in related field, or full hospitality professional qualifications
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years experiences in luxury, upscale resorts with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar position
  • Dynamic, inspiring, innovative and enthusiastic in driving for results
  • Ability to express effective, clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Strong leadership, organisational and administrative skills
  • Must have the right to work in Malaysia
