Job Description


Prepares cooks and bakes food for guests and associates following instructions, recipe cards and photos. Prepare, cook and bake food in all areas of the pastry kitchen for the guests and associates as and when directed. Works in a safe, efficient and economical manner. Familiar with menu and ingredient knowledge.



  1. Presentation, efficiency and productivity of work.
  2. Cooks, prepares and bakes food for guests and associates.
  3. Follows standard and procedures.
  4. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, grooming and presentation.
  5. Ensures correct and safe use of all equipment, machinery and tools. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness in the pastry kitchen, storage, fridge’s and freezers
  6. Familiar with and follow all Pastry kitchen standards and procedures, participates in training new associates.
  7. Attends all scheduled training at his, her level.
  8. Assist with receiving and storage of goods.
  9. Clean and maintain pastry kitchen equipment and premises.
  10. Interact with associates from different departments in a professional and positive manner to work effectively in a team.
  11. Assist with the preparation. Presentation and storage of pastries, cakes, hot & cold desserts, and yeast goods.
  12. Assist with the preparation and storage of pastry for Buffets.
  13. Assist with training new pastry kitchen associates.



  • Good Knowledge of Pastry and Bakery techniques and skills
  • Knowledge of English and a good communicator;
  • Handle basic working terminology and techniques
  • Deal effectively with guests and workplace colleagues from a multi cultures.
