Job Description


  •  Maintain a friendly, neat and pleasant image at all times.
  • Provides courteous services to guests and respond promptly and tactfully to guests’ complaints, requests and enquiries.
  • Sells, registers and assigns rooms to in-coming guests, ensure that registration cards are properly filled up. Check-out departing guests based on the established procedures.
  • Informs other departments and outlets of arrivals, room changes, check-outs and special arrangements.
  • Completes all follow-up procedures after every check-in.
  • Pre-register VIP guests as soon as possible before 9.00 a.m.
  • Records in the log book any unusual happenings and all important matters for follow up.
  • Handles guest mails, faxes, parcels, messages etc. Establish identity of guests before handling out the mails, faxes etc.
  • Keeps a record of all incoming mails, faxes and messages.
  • Checks mails in the holding racks for every new arrival.
  • Check all the functions/events going on in the Hotel.
  • Furnish information about the Hotel and any special attractions or events of interest.
  • Checks in Hotel guests and confirm form of payment adhering to credit limits and procedures set by the Management. 
  • Maintains folios for Hotel guests.
  • Handles Currency/Travelers Cheques exchange.
  • Check on due-out rooms.
  • Balances daily cash, transaction postings and credit card remittance at the end of each shift ensuring all information is accurate and without discrepancy.
  • Accepts responsibility for accurately maintain a cash float.
  • Processes safety box details for guest use as per standard procedures.
  •  Demonstrate upselling techniques. 
  • Attends daily Front Office operation briefings to maintain good teamwork and a sharing of goals and objectives of the Department.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
