Job Description

As a Telephone Operator of Hotel Royal Signature, Kuala Lumpur, one is responsible to operate the hotel telephone switchboard and answer all calls promptly.

 He/she has to work closely with all departments on telephone related matter.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To answer all incoming and house calls promptly and courteously.
  • To take down messages for guests and transmit promptly.
  • To provide wake-up call service to guests.
  • To answer guests queries and provide information.
  • To Ensure that the PMS/Raw Data System are running smoothly.
  • To keep the operator’s room clean and tidy at all times.
  • To check daily on every shift, the PABX switchboard room is operating smoothly.
  • Must be familiar with hotel’s emergency procedures and policies in order to play an active role in the event of an emergency.
  • Participates in any scheduled training and development program that may improve personal or departmental standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned job-related tasks as assigned by the Duty Manager and/or Management.
  • He/she employed by Front Office Department and as such he/she may be assigned to any area that the management deems suitable and necessary.
