Job Description

As a F&B Assistant of Hotel Royal Signature, Kuala Lumpur, one is responsible for assisting the F&B Captain in providing courteous and efficient service to guests and perform duties to facilitate food & beverage service of specific function.

He/she is able to communicate verbally with other colleagues and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up function rooms/Restaurant according to plan.
  • Checks and assure that tables and chairs are clean, condiments containers are filled and crockeries, glassware and cutleries are clean.
  • Assemble dishes on guest tables if it is a set or buffet.
  • Remove dishes after meal has been completed.
  • Maintains the store and assure that equipment is well accounted for.
  • Report to Captain for any equipment that needs repair.
  • Observes, anticipates and accommodated guest needs or requests.
  • Cleans and set tables; replaces linen; removes dirty dishes from dining room; sorts dishes on sorting table.
  • Brings clean tableware to service station; wipes and polishes same.
  • Cleans, replenishes supplies in and arranges service stations trolley and storeroom cleans and polishes dining room equipment such as silverware, glassware trolleys and ashtrays; fold napkins.
  • Sorts and takes dirty linen to Linen Room; exchanges same for clean linen.
  • Cleans and polishes glass, China and silverware before the restaurant opens.
  •  Helps setting polishes glass, China and silverware before replenishing daily supply from stores and linen room.
  • Keep the side-stations tidy and takes care that they ate well stocked.
  • Served ice-water when guests arrive as well as bread and butter.
  • Assist the Captain / Waiters to serve food and drinks.
  • Clears the tables, bring all dirty dishes, glassed and cutlery to the dish washing area.
  • Cleans up tables and his station.
  • Responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of the service area.
  • Prepares necessary mise-en-place concerning the operations.
  • Checks that all orders are in proper and presentable manner.
  • Prepares and finish all side work assignment.
  • Attends monthly communication meeting set by the Outlet Manager.
  • Attends pre-service briefing and any other training meeting as required by the Outlet Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned job-related tasks as assigned by the F&B Manager and/or Management.
