Job Description

  • Actively interacts with clients including, but not limited to: Professional Councils, Clubs and Associations both local and international, local institutions, major corporate accounts, government offices and diplomatic missions.
  • To effectively utilize the standard forms and letters to ensures that such forms and letters are presented in a most professional manner.
  • To assist the Events Managers in answering telephone inquiries, preparing banquet event order and proposals, menus, and general administration.
  • To maintain an effective account and account management through Opera and to be fully competent with operating Opera Sales and Catering system.
  • To ensure that all data input in the Opera Sales and Catering is accurate and updated.
  • Traces on accounts and bookings are logged into Opera Sales and Catering daily and ensures that traces are acted upon timely and thoroughly.
  • To ensure that banquet event orders and other important documentation are prepared in meticulous details and presented in the most professional manner.
  • To ensure that BEO, change logs and other related documents required are distributed to support department in a timely manner.
  • To effectively use all available sales tools.
  • Maintains all clients and events files according to the standards required.
  • Actively conduct site inspection for potential buyers and attend to walk-ins as assigned.
  • To assist Events Manager’s in coordinating and servicing all tentative and confirmed functions.
  • To be constantly aware of Le Meridien Petaling Jaya Hotel’s occupancy and average rate.
  • Fully competent with providing clients with hassle-free experience.
  • Full capable of rate negotiation and event block reviews through effective analysis of programme and client history.
  • To work closely with all clients in providing recommendations to ensure that all programme are handled professionally.
  • Full capable in handling and solving problems arising from client.
  • To assist in answering telephone inquiries, check e-mails, clear in and out trays, corporate rate letter, contracts, proposals and all general administration work task.
  • Ensures that all guest’s profile, requirements and other important information are distributed to related department or sections in a timely manner.
  • Meet with bookers and influencers in-house to provide assistance and maintain a good client relationship and to solicit future business.
