Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team. The IT Intern will support our in-house IT department in providing technical assistance, maintaining computer systems, and configuring hardware and software. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and provide training and support to team members.

What will I be doing?

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Intern in Hotel Royal Signature Kuala Lumpur will assist the team with their daily tasks as well as provide technical support to the rest of the team and not limited to in-house guests. Performs all work in accordance with essential functions and responsibilities as described below:

  • Provide technical assistance to associates and guests on hardware and software-related issues
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues
  • Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance
  • Provide training and support to team members on the use of computer systems and software
  • Perform system backups and maintain accurate records
  • Research and recommend solutions for technical problems


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software
  • Knowledge of network and system security
  • Familiarity with hardware and software installation
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Confident and strong self-motivation
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in a foreign language would be an advantageous
  • Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments
  • Superb interpersonal skills, good communication and social skills
  • A professional appearance
  • Willingness to learn and progress
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a genuine “Yes I Can!” attitude
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Knowledge of OPERA System will be an added advantage
