Job Description

Description: To follow the instruction and work assigned to him by Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.

Job Responsibility:

  1. Clean and prepare all basic food items mise-en-place for both a la carte and buffet.
  2. Helps to prepare orders according to the standard procedures.
  3. Picked up food requisition from the store and arranged all the items accordingly.
  4. Cleaning and tidying up the walk-in chiller for fresh items.
  5. Adheres strictly to the cleanliness of the kitchen area as well as equipment and machines.
  6. Maintain proper personal appearance.
  7. Adheres strictly to the standard recipes for the various dishes and avoids wastage.
  8. Checking and refilling the buffet items.
  9. To cut and clear food items from the buffet.
  10. Pay attention to the safety, security, and energy-saving rules.
  11. To avoid wastage of food items.
  12. In some instances, is in contact with customers (barbecue, grill, etc….)

Job Requirement:

  1. Preparing food for service, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
  2. Maintaining a clean and organized work station.
  3. Assist in food preparation and presentation.
  4. Stock and restock kitchen items as needed.
  5. Ensure the kitchen and food areas are clean and safe.
  6. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
