Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:-

  • Manage the overall Finance Department include fixed assets management, taxation, regular statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that monthly reports and work schedules are completed on a timely basis.
  • Analyze the monthly financial statements.
  • Preparing financial related reports as and when they are required.
  • To resolve any problems arising in the Finance Department.
  • To check that all operations, accounting or otherwise, are performed according to set Hotel standards and ways to improve the systems where it is required.
  • Checking and ensuring that purchase requisitions are in line with capital expenditure and expenses budgets.
  • Preform proper maintenance of the sub-ledger and supporting evidence which make up the General Ledger.
  • Formulating work schedules and program for employees, to facilitate the monthly and year end closing.
  • Prepare and manage Yearly Budget, Forecast, Cash Flow and Cost Impact Analysis.
  • To supervise yearly and periodic physical inspections of fixed assets for each department.
  • To ensure the security of all contracts and agreements relating the operations of the Hotel and to supervise the necessary accounting procedures and the preparation of accounting ledgers and summaries.
  • Perform a regular internal audit of the work process to ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and accounting policies, practices and guidelines.
  • Review reports for accuracy and authenticity of the numbers.
  • Any other duties as specified by the Hotel Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:-

  • A Diploma/Degree holder or any Accounting Professional Association qualification such as ACCA and CIMA with at least 3 years of experience in accounting/audit.
  • Experience in managing hotel industry accounting will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet tight deadline and good problem solving skills.
  • He/She must have good verbal and written English language skills.
  • Good Knowledge of spreadsheets and finance system.
