Housekeeping Linen

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To issue linen and uniform to service personnel and ensure that all items are recorded properly.

2. To perform periodic inventories of sewing equipment and tools, linen and uniforms.

3.To maintain cleanliness and responsibility for the secure storage of all linen and uniform in the linen room.

4. To sort out and count all linens, uniform and guest laundry before sending out to the outsource laundry.

5. To ensure all items from outsource laundry are arranged neatly and properly on the shelves in the pantry and linen room.

6. To perform timely repairs of all items of uniform, linen and upholstery.

7. To record all alterations and mending task and take cares of the par stock of linen and uniforms.

8. To raise request for any tools and equipment for the department.

9. To check all uniforms returned from outsource laundry for any loose button or hems before issuing to associates.

10. To identify and report any linens found not belong to THE FACE SUITES.

11. To perform all phase of sewing and alterations required by hotel.

12. To apply patches and sew embellishments when necessary.

13. To monitor quality of cleaning standard for all linen and uniforms from outsource laundry.

14. To contribute and make special effort to conserve energy consumptions.

15. To check all soiled linen for any stain marks and separate them in different packaging.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

·         Sewing skills required

·         Knowledgeable in linen, uniforms and guest laundry handling.

·         Self-motivated and productively

·         Ability to work independently and minimum supervise.

·         Able to work on shifts, long hours, weekends and public holiday.

·         Must be able to prioritize work, maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.

·         Knowledgeable in ironing and iron steamer handling.

·         Good in housekeeping

·         Familiarity with and competency in using hand tools and remove zippers.

 QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

·         Candidates must possess at minimum SPM any field.

·         Able to converse in simple English.

·         Pleasant, courteous and friendly personality.

 Experience

·         At least two year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

·         Experience in working independently without daily direct supervision as well as with a team.
