Oversee the smooth and efficient running of the Finance Department
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and management reports. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Develop and manage the budgeting process, working closely with various departments to establish financial targets and objectives. Prepare financial forecasts and analyze variances between actual and budgeted results.
Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and compliance with policies and regulations. Conduct internal audits and implement necessary improvements.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
Coordinate tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Work with external tax advisors and auditors to manage tax filings, audits, and related matters.
Manage and mentor the finance team, including manager, executive, and other staff. Set performance goals, provide guidance, and promote professional development.
Collaborate with executive management to develop financial strategies and objectives aligned with the organization's goals.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) may be preferred or advantageous.
Understanding of overall hotel operations and finance functions
Able to work independently and is a good team player with leadership skills
Mature, pro-active, independent, analytical, meticulous and able to meet deadlines
In-depth understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and relevant regulations. Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting techniques
Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments. Strong communication and presentation abilities to convey financial information clearly and concisely
Computer literate, proficient in MS Excel. Knowledge of Fidelio / Opera and SUN Accounting System
Able to start immediately will be an added advantage
