Job Description

The Front Office Manager is responsible for directing, controlling and coordinating all Front Office operations to provide efficient, prompt, proactive and courteous services, thereby ensuring the hotel achieves its financial and guest satisfaction objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and controls all subordinate Front Office associates to ensure that day-to-day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met.
  • Oversees the service standards in all Front Office areas ensuring that they conform to the requisite standards and exceeds guests’ expectations.
  • Controls the maintenance and updating of guest history files and disbursement of relevant information ensuring guest requests and preferences are implemented whenever possible.
  • Works closely with other departments to ensure all guests’ requests are delivered immediately based on the established standards and maintenance issues are resolved on a timely manner.
  • Reviews current day’s expected arrivals and checks all VIP and special request reservations to ensure that they are pre-registered, blocked properly and other departments are notified of room assignments.
  • Performs responsibilities of Front Office Associates as needed to process guests expediently including but not limited to checking guest into hotel, responding to guest questions, resolving guest concerns, answering telephone, making guest reservations and checking guests out of hotel.
  • Prioritizes the safety of guests and associates by executing the crisis management procedures effectively in the event of an emergency.

Requirements

  • College degree plus technical certificate of diploma or above
  • Strong leadership, organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of individuals
  • Capable to maintain consistent performances under pressure
  • Proven 3 to 7 years track record in a hotel of comparable standard in similar capacity
  • Must have the right to work in Malaysia
