Job Description

  • Assist the Director of Talent & Culture to develop job descriptions and policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that necessary prior preparations are made for all in-coming new hires. Explaining human resources policies, procedures and benefits to new employees.
  • Ensures that all new employees receive a warm welcome and are well attended to on their 1st day of employment.
  • Maintains a monthly register on new hires. Manage the preparation of employment contracts, confirmation letters, disciplinary, promotion letters.
  • Ensures that all documents are filed in the personnel files in a timely manner. Handles the monthly payroll for the hotel and ensures that monthly time sheet attendance and leave forms are distributed and returned on a timely manner for payroll processing.
  • Ensure up to date and accurate information is fed into the payroll system. Update leave records on a timely basis and provide a monthly update to all Head of Departments, including the General Manager.
  • Administer job postings on social media and Accorjobs.
  • Updates the work permit records on a monthly basis and submit to the Director of Talent & Culture for verification.
  • Plans and organizes monthly sports and recreation activities. Looks into the condition of staff facilities in terms of cleanliness.
  • Attends the monthly Staff Cafeteria committee meeting.
  • Administer employee recognition awards program such as Best Talent of The Months, Merci Award etc.
  • Ensures that all resign employees completes the online Talent Farewell survey.
  • Assist the Director of Talent & Culture in managing any grievances, disputes and disciplinary cases towards a prompt and amicable resolution.
  • Advise and direct line managers accordingly on the appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with hotel’s policy and procedure on employee’s progressive disciplinary.
  • Handle workplace unhappiness and resolve disagreements. Assist with employee relation issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including disciplinarians, grievance and capability.
  • Provide staff counselling, guidance, career planning, and oversee disciplinary matters up to and including dismissal and oversee any Grievance Complaints made as required.
  • Ensures confidentiality is maintained at all times and provides information only to those with a need to know.
  • To know and follow the Health & Safety at Work Act and comply with the hotel’s Health & Safety policy.
  • Perform any other tasks that may be assigned by the Director of Talent & Culture from time to time.
