Scope

Responsible for developing and implementing learning strategies and designing e-learning courses. He/she must also be able to assess training and development needs, create and execute training plans, evaluate training program effectiveness and manage training budgets.

Strong communication, project management, and budgeting skills are required. Proven related experience and knowledge of effective learning methods are essential.

Primary Responsibilities 

Human Resources

  1. Assists the Director of Human Resources/Training Manager in the implementation of all training programs. 
  2. Compiles training materials according to staff needs, including audio-visual and other teaching aids. 
  3. Prepares weekly and monthly training schedules and monthly training calendar.
  4. Checks that all lessons are conducted in a professional manner and according to instructions issued by the Director of Human Resources / Training Manager.
  5. Assists Director of Human Resources/Training Manager in sourcing for training materials appropriate to the Hotel staff and responsible for purchasing or having materials printed.
  6. Maintains and updates records of all training programs conducted

Product and Quality  

  1. Performs teaching duties in a professional manner, according to instructions issued by the Director of Human Resources/Training Manager.
  2. Conducts new hire orientation and generic training programs for hotel staffs. Coordinates with other departments to ensure fire and safety, food hygiene and safety, grooming and telephone standards training courses are conducted. 
  3. To guide Department Trainers to assess staff’s skill and knowledge and to recommend reskill and upskill if required.  
  4. Communicates and coordinates with other Departments for name lists of participants who will be attending training.
  5. Assists in coordinating and liaising with Departments concerned on sending staff out for cross training and exposure both in domestic and overseas.
  6. Assists in coordinating and liaising with Departments concerned for candidates to enroll for education/professional programs.
  7. Maintains proper departmental training files
  8. Recruiting quality trainees to fill operational needs & for future hiring purpose
  9. Source for appropriate legal compliance training and responsible for maintaining proper legal compliance training files.
  10. Tracks and ensure all staffs attend legal compliance training related to position
  11. Maintains and update records of all training programs conducted.
  12. Manages & maximizes Human Resources Development Fund and process all claim on timely basis.
