Job Summary

The Bellman is responsible for providing warm, efficient, and helpful assistance to guests upon arrival, during their stay, and at departure. This role includes handling luggage, escorting guests to their rooms, providing hotel information, and ensuring a pleasant first and last impression of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Arrival & Departure

  • Greet guests warmly at the main entrance and assist with opening doors.

  • Handle guest luggage during check-in and check-out.

  • Escort guests to their rooms, explain room features, and ensure their comfort.

  • Assist in arranging transportation, luggage storage, and handling guest items safely.

2. Guest Services

  • Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and nearby attractions.

  • Assist with guest requests such as calling taxis, delivering items, or running minor errands.

  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and complaints, and escalate when necessary.

  • Maintain a friendly, polite, and helpful attitude at all times.

3. Lobby & Entrance Management

  • Keep the lobby, driveway, and entrance area clean, safe, and organized.

  • Assist with crowd control during peak hours, events, or group arrivals.

  • Monitor guest movement and provide support to ensure smooth traffic flow.

4. Coordination & Support

  • Work closely with Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Security teams to ensure seamless service.

  • Assist with delivery of messages, parcels, amenities, and other guest items.

  • Support emergency procedures and assist guests when required.

5. Other Duties

  • Maintain proper records of luggage tags, storage, and deliveries.

  • Ensure compliance with hotel service standards and grooming requirements.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors or management.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent.

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy luggage.

  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.

  • Pleasant personality with strong customer service attitude.

  • Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Basic knowledge of surrounding attractions and transportation options is an advantage.
