Job Description

The Assistant Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing oversees and directs all aspects of sales activities with the objective of bringing the hotel to market speedily and achieving RevPAR-oriented goals consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Grows an active database of accounts with comprehensive profiles in coordination with the sales force team, handle accounts and prospects jointly with the sales force team and acquiring new business for the hotel.
  • Ensures seamless conferences and events from acquisition to delivery through the team.
  • Attends tradeshows in related markets and sales trips.
  • Directs the coordination of ongoing research of the travel industry local, regional, and international markets to detect market trends and uncertainties, and related information for development of new marketing strategies.
  • Assists in preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales & Marketing Department to include, but not limited to the annual and monthly Forecast, Marketing Budget, Lead Management, Booking Pace, Opera Reports, Sales Meetings and Marketing Meeting Minutes.

Requirements

  • Possess levels of analytical skills and the ability to articulate the business, plans and strategies
  • Strong leadership, organisational and administrative skills
  • Exude confidence and visible integrity in interaction
  • Minimum 4 years in hospitality industry of similar Sales & Marketing capacity
  • Minimum Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Studies or related certification
  • Able to work independently
  • This position shall be based in Kuala Lumpur
  • Must have the right to work in Malaysia
