Job Description
Working Days: 5.5 Days
- Monday to Friday: 9.00 AM – 6.00 PM
- Saturday (Half Day): 9.00 AM – 1.00 PM
Sales Associates Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow-up communications for clients.
- Ensure that all confirmed events are arranged and carried out according to the approved quotation and the official Event Order document.
- Keep all client records, contracts, and event details properly filed and updated.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and walk-in enquiries related to hotel services, bookings, and events.
- Arrange and accompany clients during hotel site visits and meetings.
- Support the Sales team in preparing paperwork, reports, and sales-related documents.
Event and Function Support (Meetings, Conferences, Weddings, Dinners, etc.)
- Be the main person-in-charge for guests who book events at the hotel.
- Communicate closely with clients to understand their event requirements (e.g., number of guests, setup style, menu selection, technical support).
- Coordinate with all relevant hotel departments (kitchen, banquet, front office, housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure the event is prepared properly.
- Be physically present during the event to monitor setup, assist the client, and handle last-minute requests.
- Ensure everything provided during the event follows what was agreed in the quotation and Event Order.
- After the event, follow up with the client to thank them and get feedback about their experience.
Marketing and Sales Activities
- Assist with marketing campaigns and hotel promotions.
- Help create basic promotional materials (e.g., posters, flyers, social media posts).
- Support the team in generating new sales leads and doing follow-up calls.
- Join sales appointments, client visits, and presentation sessions when required.
- Promote hotel rooms, packages, and event services to walk-in or call-in guests.
Guest and Client Engagement
- Build positive relationships with clients, corporate guests, and event organizers.
- Understand their needs and suggest the best solutions using hotel services.
- Provide friendly and timely service to all clients throughout their booking journey.
Job Requirements
- Open to Malaysian citizens only
- Minimum qualification: Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / Diploma – result slip or certificate is required
- Fresh graduates and first-job seekers are strongly encouraged to apply
- Must be friendly, confident, and enjoy talking to people
- Comfortable making phone calls and meeting clients in person
- Must be able to use basic computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet browser)
- Willing to learn, committed to work responsibilities, and able to work in a team
